She Was the Night

There was starlight in her eyes
And the night air on her breath
Dusk was her domain
That fragile, blurry line between day and night
Her skin was as pale as the moon
And I, like the ocean, was drawn to her in a way that it ached
I longed to touch her, but always fell short
Her beauty far outshined my rough surface waves
And the tumultuous currents hidden deep within me
I needed so desperately to be a part of her world
Her sad, but beautiful world
She was the night
But it was the misty mornings when she was most stunning

Wow. So um. I wrote a thing? Like, not my usual style. But just. Um. Well here.
