Choice Not Mistake

You went to the place
You said you would never go
You left when i pleaded with you to stay
You said i had to let you go
It had to end this way
So i trusted you and let you walk out that door
So afraid of what was in store
Turns out letting you go was my biggest mistake
Believing that you can do it
Stay faithful to me for just a day
It must have been to much for you
To just say no and walk away
The temptation was too much
Your emotions and hormones got in the way
You say you were just hungry all you wanted was a taste
But as soon as you got it you realized your mistake
You called right after and confessed to what you have done
But it didn't ease the pain it just made my emotions run
I couldn't stop the stabbing sensation that i felt in my heart
I just felt broken and overwhelmed i knew i had to make it stop
Not knowing where to turn or where to go
I stood and cried until i got home
I knew you shouldn't have went
I told you before you go to kiss me
And remember that i love you so
But i guess it wasn't enough
You had to get that taste to have that adrenaline rush
Well i hope it was worth it to cheat on me
Because now not only have you lost my trust and faith in us
