Dormant

My skull fractured under the weight
Of too many secrets left untold
And I battle with the feverish ache
Of sickness settling into my bones.
[ D-O-R-M-A-N-T ]
As if to say, "I can wait,"
And "I'll just make myself at home."
It is a presence I simply cannot shake-
For if I did I would be alone.

But everything will be fine
-Of that have I no doubt.
God's arms are wrapped around me
And I think he's choking me out.
