A Ballad of Camaraderie

We’ll walk the plank and we’ll hoist the sails,
commandeer the boat.
Look for treasure and if all else fails,
piracy, we wrote.

If we run out of air in our spaceship now
or collide into the moon
You can float as far as space will allow
just as long as you come home soon.

The acrobats are envious of our little tricks,
gliding with no net.
Cartwheels and spins; jumps and kicks,
they haven’t seen this yet.

A brawl is coming, the saloon will fill
with cowboys arriving on train.
Just hold still, I'm Buffalo Bill,
You're my partner, Calamity Jane.

Pull a rabbit out of the hat,
lie down and trust the saw.
Watch my hands, pat-a-pat-pat,
as the audience stares in awe.

Don’t trip the alarm or give us away,
we don’t have much time.
To get the money and get to the car,
you are my partner in crime.

No matter what we do, no matter where we go,
Put this one thing above:
when it’s all said and done at the end of the show,
at least I know I have love.

Some of the lines are a little off, I feel, when it comes to the beat...although if I read them again, they sound fine. I keep convincing myself that they work hahaha!
