Athens,
the city Greece is most known for
where Acropolis is,
has turned to be a city not to live in.
People from other countries have taken over,
and the ones who rule over us
don't care because they are filthy,
and they take money, they are so guilty.
The young ones have lost their minds
in alcohol and drugs,
not to forget surfing the internet.
Ermou streets used to be filled with shops
but many of them have closed down
the cause is no other than the bad economy.
Omonoia, you don't even want to go there.
Junkies who steal and beg for money are everywhere
they only want another shot of their favorite drug;
heroin or the new shisha.
At schools,
you can see young children
with empty stomaches
fainting from the lack of food.
You can see parents riding the trains
to beg others for money
only in order to feed their children.
Athens, you've lost your glory,
and the things you were known of.
They are taking us down,
but your biggest enemy isn't them,
but us.
