Blown To A Memory

Quiet did the night so seem
Stars that shone a dull yellow gleam
Over land and sea and sullen fair
Casting faint shadows on beds en-lair
The heart that beat, its quickening pace
Did so soothingly enchant this place
Confessions of love it did so sound
Speaking softly and sweetly, other noises did drown
Night did darken and light hath vanished from all sight
Nothing shown for not despite
And like the wind that doth rustle the trees
You were blown away, to a memory
