Ocean Dreams

Ahead by the horizon!
Each day elopes.
Steady in the breeze; each inhale,
yet not all are assured.
Each moment comes on a wave,
Each harbors at my toes.
Each memory is drifting Rocking to and fro.
Not all pleasant, but all are treasured
Buried within my heart; I stow.
Storms erupt across my skies
Tranquil pool no longer lie.
Lapse into a quiet place
A nook inside my mind I take.
A peaceful part no one else can know
A sanctuary for all who wander though.
Lost at sea
Map is drowned
Your boat must stray
Your body found.
A mystery
My eyes flutter wide
My wet feet at the brink
In relief I sigh
I did not sink, I did not die
My gaze turns skyward
And onward, toward
Endless horizon, pastel skies
Morning comes, I stifle a yawn
And watch the rise of dawn.
Dream now adrift and then completely gone.
