Suppression

The soles of my shoes have eroded in time
And since, I've felt the sting of the ground on my feet
As I strive to evade the conscience of my mind
Desperately seeking to reprimand me

What guided soon grounded, ceased strength from the weight
Ambushed by the essence of all I've repressed
My lungs were ignited, threatening to suffocate
And my heartbeat was deafening inside of my chest

I become slave to an anima who deemed me culpable
The tears on my hands were not all in my name
And as the harshness forced upon me becomes indestructible
I concede, I'm responsible for every fragment of pain

An overdue consequence unveiled from digression
As I'm no longer subject to deleterious suppression
