My Sanctuary

The pale blue skies of ancient winds,
Is where my fantasy begins.
Your feet sink into grainy sand.
Now, sounds begin to fade.
Waves of foam creep up to shore,
Footprints made are nevermore.
New seashells crop up every day.
The piers so high it looks a'sway.
A place of fun,
Of eternal light.
A place of love, a place of night.
To me it is a sanctuary.
I love to get there on the ferry.
Feel the wind upon my hair.
The seagulls squawk everywhere.
Everyone is soon at peace.
At my favorite place I called the beach.
