look up at the silver moon
and breathe in the scent of midnight with me
watch the repetition of the flickering light
from the inside
i wished upon the stars shining through you
silence was golden, so was the sun
we sat and waited for it to rise
fighting through the pain of our exhaustion
brushing up against you at my side
a chill ran up my spine
holding my tongue to cherish the moment
taking in the flecks of blue turning to purple
the waves in the sky
