Ever Peace

The wind along the river
listens as we float
happily together
in our wooden boat.

Sultry orchids gleam
as ripples lead the way
Our delicate dream-
a map for every day.

Restless feathers fly
in violet wisps of love
tethered to the sky,
our ever-peaceful dove.

may our souls rest high
upon its wings above.
