Car Ride

From first glance they were just two girls riding in a beat up blue car with the windows down, blasting their favorite songs, clinging to what little bit of summer still clung to that chilled air. But they are more than just that moment. They were more than any moment before or after. They were more than any moment or life could be. But in that moment they became every wild like the wind girl that housed a thunder storm in their chest.
The wind whipped through the car tossing their dark hair carelessly leaving ur more beautiful than before.
The sky was licked with pink flames maquerading as clouds while their laughter floated out the windows.
Smoke danced from the ends of their lit cigarettes. Strangers in passing cars turned to stare, smiles playing on their lips. Wild like that turns others into wild, makes tornados of their souls.
The thing about girls like this, like the ones screaming lyrics in that shitty car, girls like that make you believe in love. They grab ahold of your heart like nothing you've ever imagined. They are the kind of girls that dance in the rain and scream for more. And the sky obliges. It opens up for them. It pours down harder and harder. They scare you. Their power over not only the sky but over you terrifies you. You know that could destroy you. And you knowing they did they wouldn't even notice.
