Wildfire (Silence)

A wildfire rushed through the room
Where I once stood with you
I apologize for the debris
But I can't help feeling helpless with you
The embers are still here in me
I can feel your presence stoking it
Blazing through this space without a care
A whirlwind of fear is forming fast
While you breathe in the very thing
I need to keep going
And let out the worst thing

Silence.
I can't bear it
Why would you
Want to share it?

Can you tell me if you even care?
Or am I making this up in my head?
Practise makes perfect
So I know how to control my laugh
My everything
Which side of me,
Incarcerated in the act of placating their needs
I sigh so deeply
Felt like my soul sighed withe
I can't breathe in
Sooner but-
I hold to catch the moment of

Silence.
I can't bear it
Why would you
Want to share it?

Could you show me a sign that you care?
I'd be better for it, the last sight
Of the flames
Before sunlight returns
Yet I'm trapped in the mystic allure
Can't see beyond my hand
Can you reach me? Floating in the distance?
Or am I too far gone?
And you'd rather not get burned by the inferno
Get ripped apart by no reply
Anything but the

Silence.
I can't bear it
Why would you
Want to share it?
Silence.
I can't bear it
Why would you
Want to share it?
Silence
Fleeting now
Why would you want
to keep it around?
Silence
A memory floating away
A scream rips through my throat
Why? I can't say
