Nothingness

You left me hanging on a dry post.
Nothing else left but me and the damp wind.
Looking around there was no one else in sight.
But your shadowy figure disappearing into the night.
Nothing else seemed to phase you.
You didn't even look back.
I was dying there without you.
But you didn't come back to me.
Now I'm here lifeless.
You faked your love for me.
Now I'm dead and you moved on.
My soul will haunt you forever.
How could you leave me for the birds?
I never knew you were so careless.
Now you're free and I'm stuck in hell.
But one day I'll drag you down with me.
So soak up the happiness.
One day you wont be.
I'll take you on a trip.
To the road less traveled on.

I wrote this when I was 20. It's sort of demented in a really sad way. I don't even remember what I went through when writing this, but I'm sure some people can really relate, and that's what my poetry is all about.
