Love

I watched the trees burn from my ivory tower;
you watched in discontent as I died – but the
ebody was magnificent as it consumed my body.
But you love me; for as long as my life remains,
for as long as the morning is waiting. Oh, I imagined
your devotion as it struck my innocence; oh, I remember
how you would laugh when I told you how I'd grown. Well now!
You, you're a zombie – I see his face in your eyes! I see you survive
and I laugh at the body I remember: you were laying on the dinner
table and you said you would be fine. I, I can't feel sex anymore.
I see her face in my hands! I've got big plans; I'm sure you
do too – oh! I see the sand and the ocean views, oh! I see
bloodstains and I see belief: you find abuse and metaphors.
