With your toxic words and your poison tongue, ruin me.

My world revolves around your egotistic ways, yet I am blind to them.
My life spins on the axis of your approval, yet I seek it so incontestably.
My heart lies in the palm of your cruel hand, yet I believe it to be safe.
Your world revolves around your expert deception of me, yet you barely notice me.
Your life spins on the axis of my doting attention, yet you pay me none.
Your heart lies with me, ironically reliant on my love.

But, for all the control that we covet over each other, neither can break free.
So, ruin me.
