Your Vision

Yellow is the color associated with joy
Such as a child’s favorite toy

This was your favorite color
And there will never be another

With the kindness of a young foal
And that magnificent soul

You believed in God
Which I suppose I found odd

Only because I don’t have faith in beings
But, I have faith in seeing

This world isn’t full of rainbows and smiles
It’s full of hurt and juveniles

You wanted to change that
To show people, that the world isn’t so flat

You wanted to show that wisdom not only comes from age
But also from a person’s rage

Anger towards the world for being cruel
Wanting to show that among the dust, there is a jewel

Like an elephant, you were strong
And I will continue to sing your song

A song that searches for peace
Even though it may be lathered in grease

I will grip it tightly,
And make your vision come to life brightly

Although I miss you
I know I have to bid you adieu

You’re always in my thoughts
And I’m fighting the battle that you fought.
