The Fortunate Ones.

Annora was a normal everyday woman living in this day and age with no particular dislike or likes. everything seemed to be going according to her goal, The fact that she had devoted her life to this like every other American. It was proof that there was more than just factual evidence that she had proven her parents wrong. they had told her she couldn't make something of herself by moving to a small bum town in Oklahoma.

She arrived in town by bus an left alone on a sidewalk with a single wooden bench. much like the one from that Forrest Gump scene. she was courageous with her booming confidence, she learned that her ego couldn't take another hit so backing out of this wasn't an option. she had to prove to her parents and to herself that she could survive this move out of their house and make it out on her own.

The life she had been given to her by them was just a walkthrough with everything given to her, but that's not what she wanted. she was tired of being shelter, tired of seeing the world through an app on her phone. Blasting her music into her ears she was ready to take on the world, yet the price she was going to pay was still yet to come. walking out into the street to cross the road, the intersections and streets had no stop lights, the signs looked old but they looked to be doing the job.

A nearby cheap motel that looked like it had a deal two rooms for the price of one, she was halfway across the street when she heard the stretch of the tires of a car coming to a halt. she screamed in complete with the only thought that she hadn't even begun her life and now she was about to be run down by public transportation. she only managed to spin on her heel to avoid the head-on collision before she toppled over an landed on her rear end. she stared in shock as the front vehicle stopped inches in front of her face.

The title of this novella was from a dream i had, i have been putting it off for so long but i figured it was time to get back around to this one and make it an actual novel rather then just a lingering dream.
