Addiction is a strong word
about the smoke of weed
coughing later when sucking
it's juice into lungs
needing more of as the year's pass
rushing home from work to get the first high on
ignoring his woman totally reaching
beyond her to get next fix
leaving her alone all at home.
whose heart was in love with the other woman
of which she could not compete.
It dawned on her what was wrong
the pot was the love of his life
while she was leaving on the
next morning ride.
