Winter
While sitting at my terrace
In a vacant pensive mood
Enjoying the chilly winter air
And the moments of solitude
I gazed at the moon
And the far away numerous stars
The moon is lonely just like me
And it too has scars
It’s crescent in shape
And incomplete like me
But perfection in flaws
Is it’s beauty
The stars are distant
Just like the people of world
Twinkling like diamonds
In the space unfurled
The mist pouring on me
Leaves falling from trees
The fog is really thick
And cold is the breeze
There is complete silence
And everything is still
The earth seems lifeless
In this winter chill
I close my eyes
And listen to my heart
In this moment of introspection
Grief and agony depart
The winter decays everything
Which is old
So that a new life may blossom
When it’s not so cold
In a vacant pensive mood
Enjoying the chilly winter air
And the moments of solitude
I gazed at the moon
And the far away numerous stars
The moon is lonely just like me
And it too has scars
It’s crescent in shape
And incomplete like me
But perfection in flaws
Is it’s beauty
The stars are distant
Just like the people of world
Twinkling like diamonds
In the space unfurled
The mist pouring on me

And cold is the breeze
There is complete silence
And everything is still
The earth seems lifeless
In this winter chill

And listen to my heart
In this moment of introspection
