My Moment

Let's just take a moment
and abandon our perceptions
of what we should be.

We are two humans
on a dying planet.

Our minds are a continuum of thoughts:
Strings of observations and inferences
which trigger our bodies
to react by moving on to
find the next thing to observe.
When our string ends
we die.

If we make even one error,
one analytical mistake,
isn't every following analyzation
incorrect?

The first time we lied
everything became a lie.

If "I think therefore I am,"
but I think in lies,
am I a lie?
What am I?

Are we two humans
on a dying planet?
