Please Describe Your Commitment to Social Justice and Peace
My commitment to social justice and peace
My will to breathe
Until the last usurper stands
If you see something, say something
I see life, I see history
I see oppression, I see herstory
I see Kwanza
I see song
On this campus, I see it all
BUT
If I DON't see something, I say something
YOU say something as you hear it
And then we all speak out, speak up, and forget how to speak down
There's help for us, there's things that I use
Tally, Fairfax, Advisors to choose
One for BSA, two for Women of Color
Three for my RA friends and I fighting discolor
In our university's diversities
And so that we may all understand a little more
What we all have in store
If you see something, say something
I see color, I see grace
I see ability, everyone's mentality in a different state
From my perspective, we were never great, how should we be great
but eventually, all will be great
The future is mine, the future is ours
My commitment is to raising the bar.
My will to breathe
Until the last usurper stands
If you see something, say something
I see life, I see history
I see oppression, I see herstory
I see Kwanza
