Why the Wolf Howls

As I lay here and gaze upon my love
I’m again enveloped
Ensnared so completely
For each glance is but a gift
A pleasure for the soul

I envy space that she revolves
The velvet touch I long for
The glow, emanating so brightly
it pains me to gaze upon her

Such a perfect couple
Bound by cruel fate
The only thing between us now
is distance unending

She is my moon,
And I am a wolf,
Lone preceding that,
so each night i howl,
For my unending love and pain,
and hope it reaches my moon and stars…

Such an old poem. I have a lot of catching up to do. Comments welcomed
