Crying on Your Birthday

Have you ever cried on your birthday?
Not because your happy,
Or surprised,
But because your heart has stopped.
You feel like you've talked too much.
Your the face of calm.
On your bed you've flopped
Turned away from touch
Because it's too much.
Thoughts, crazy thoughts.
They pry into a empty mind
It wasn't hard to find
The switch for tears
The lever for fears
The mace of disgrace
And the place you saw that face.
Lonely curled up next to a man
That gives you more than he can
Hurting from a hole he pierced
That closed open due to tears.
Healing is the only hope
Round and round
You try to keep float
Life takes hold and you loose time
Let's prey I've not run out.
