Of Peace and Ballroom

Alysha sat there in the lobby of the ballroom
It was Blue and it was Yellow
There were two Black and White clocks that seemed out of reach
But were in all reality, an arm above a head away
Through the Glass doors on the right, an Old Couple entered the lobby
Then a Young Woman with a Black and Yellow skirt came through

A stringey nasal music was playing from the left
Three Crowds passed by
But Alysha was watching and sitting and waiting for her entrance into the ballroom
On a soft Blue chair with Blue diamonds threaded throughout
With a low back and arm rests

Sunlight lunged towards her feet from the Glass
A happy son and the Black and Yellow skirted Young Woman conversed about their team

The doors to the ballroom were still and closed
And all Alysha wanted was for time to pass so that she may enter and see what was inside
