Does Anyone Notice?

Does anyone notice,
that the kids are blue,
the world is falling apart,
that we're all just told to be ourselves,
and not accepted when we try?

Does anyone notice,
that oppression and discrimination still exists,
the planet is dying,
that too many adults don't care?

Does anyone notice,
that society ignores intelligence,
but praises ignorance,
that we're not obligated to respect if they do not respect us?

Does anyone notice?
