A Memo from the Ocean

I am the ocean,
Glittering in motion.
I flow with ease,
Doing as I please.

I share my space,
So they all have a place.
When creatures come and go,
We ride peacefully so I have no foe.

Then toxins drift in,
Destroying me within.
I was too agreeing,
And they nearly destroyed my being.

The time has come for me to rise again,
And I’ll have to say goodbye my friend.
Now I must rage and cause a rebirth,
So we can have a fresh start on this green and blue Earth.

You can always come back,
But please do not attack.
For I am the ocean,
And I will not cease my motion.
