Watching the moon rise
As in memories I tremble for your touch
Shadows dancing in the pale light
Fluttering scared, as deer in headlights
Two hearts together
One never to beat again

But as long as the moon shines

Dark tears falling, like the blood
once painting our skin, cleaning away
what we thought to be sin
The beautiful soul
No one could comprehend
Blue eyes filled with sorrow
Through the end of time
Eyes that will never shine again

My muse, my aching heart
Lost to the infinite cold and dark
Grave dirt now caressing your skin
I wish you had remembered me in your darkest hours
I wish that time was not set, that the web of lies could be broken
Always fearing the worst, blinded by love
I hoped for the best
