Green Sights

Life drained out of me
Running is the best option
So little alive

They have destroyed all
The fields no longer greensward
And the trees all gone

Stacks of their product
Littered everywhere I go
Fake colours soaring

My only refuge gone
For they have dozed it away
Apologies, cows

I glance at the frame
With wonderful plants
But that was long since

With my hat flying
I escape from here
Dreary and deadly

I see a bright light
With warm colours and shadows
There is one I see

Beautiful, lovely
With greenery, animals
And for once, I breath
