Symptoms of being fake
This world is full of people pretending to be something they aren't.
Impersonating celebrities and acting like they have something to flaunt.
Shameless videos spread across the internet for all eyes to see.
For likes, shares and comments with dopamine endorsed glee.
Picking up toxic traits and treating it as a social norm.
And then act like the victim when their actions cause a storm.
They're so quick to chuck those around them under the bus.
Or raising their voice, being forceful as they start to cuss.
Spinning off stories and lies to try and shift the blame.
because to these people they treat life like it's their personal game.
Going out drinking every weekend that may pass.
As the TV & social media dumbs down the working class.
they no longer look for something meaningful, but instead something that's fun.
Whilst ignoring the emotions of others, chucking them away once they are done.
Hoping to get complements, pleasure and even material gains.
Whilst ignoring the other. the cost, struggles and pain.
They walk around life, viewing everyone as an NPC.
To them the real people might as well be an empty seat.
Because judging someone based on their character is so "over-rated".
Instead they talk about sex, cars and money to keep their head inflated.
They are not interested to see the world through sober eyes.
They believe that they would be happier to continue living a lie.
Expecting everything that comes from commitment and loyalty.
to land perfectly on their lap one day, like some kind of royalties.
Without putting in the effort, too busy lost in a good time.
But months turn to years and one day they'll pass their prime.
Instead of working on them self, they expect to be taken as they are.
But real people have already met "them" and have learnt from their scars.
They've learnt from their past mistakes to see people for their toxic traits.
And not invest their love to someone who show the symptoms of being fake.
So when these people finally look to settle down and to start a family life.
The only people they'll meet are reflections, a relationship filled with strife.
