Restless mind
Wandering eyes,
restless mind
jumbled thoughts and silent cries
Lightening speed,
flashing lights
words and sounds rushing by
What are they saying?
I do not know
I cannot make out a single sound
They’re speeding up,
I can’t keep track
they’re getting too loud, they need to stop!
My hands fly out
I try to reach
but they slip right through my fingertips
Rushing, flashing, screaming
they won’t slow down
they’ll never stop
As I lie still with

I haven’t written anything like this in years. It’s not good and I know it, but I had to get it out, and apparently that also means the internet. So here we are. Does anyone still use this site? Is anyone here?
