"I won't burden you, anymore."

At times,
She wished she'd
Depart sooner

As opposed to later

She was estranged from them
But, still, within, held some lingering feelings
(residual fondness)

Her wish to depart
Was born of instinct
And these lingering feelings

Death frees all
If she departed sooner,
Then, they'd be freed from her

Somehow, she found solace
In this more so than herself being
Freed from the burden of existence

She'd tell them
Not to weep and mourn for her
But, instead, to rejoice

When that day comes
As, now, they're free.
