One thousand crying eyes
To you I may seem weak
Even frail or unable
But I carry a weight no one else seems to see
The one thousand crying eyes
That rest upon my shoulders
But none are left for me
No one that sees the load I bear
No one that seems to care
Does anybody care?
One thousand crying eyes
But none can see the pain they cause
Their own is blinding them
All they see is that they have me
A light in the dark
A rock in the river
But the light is dimming ever slowly
The rock is breaking down
But I cannot resent them
For the help they need
But if one thousand eyes can’t see me
Is there a chance for even one?
Even frail or unable
But I carry a weight no one else seems to see
The one thousand crying eyes
That rest upon my shoulders
But none are left for me
No one that sees the load I bear
No one that seems to care
Does anybody care?
One thousand crying eyes
But none can see the pain they cause
Their own is blinding them
All they see is that they have me
A light in the dark
A rock in the river
But the light is dimming ever slowly
The rock is breaking down
But I cannot resent them
For the help they need
But if one thousand eyes can’t see me
Is there a chance for even one?
