Pearl Moon

White ageanst the black of night,
Brighter than the stars,
Sometimes full, sometimes new,
But always born again.

Silver ageanst the darkest times,
And always in the sky,
To guide the lost and light the way,
For those never to be found.

A pearl in the darkest ocean,
So little compared to all else,
But worth, in value, so much more,
Than stones and weeds and sand.

Plain as unwritten words,
Never to be seen,
Deep within a writer's soul,
Hidden from the world.
