These Black Roses Are For You

My footsteps echoed as I ran along.
I know you're just behind.
I see your haunting shadow,
So for you I'm too easy to find.

Run as fast as you can.
But never will you catch me.
In the darkness you called my name,
Pleading and begging you're sorry.

But I won't turn around.
I'm not going to face the lies you do.
And I give you these black roses,
Because never will I forgive you.

I stumbled at every stone on the ground.
Soon my knees were bleeding.
But I'd rather bleed myself to death,
Than to become another imprisoned being.

Run as fast as you can.
But never will you catch me.
From behind you tried to pull me back,
Yelling, crying in eternity.

But I won't listen to a word you say.
I will never do anything you want me to.
And I give you these black roses,
Because never will I forgive you.
