Rain

I lay here on my bed by the window.
Eyes closed, window open, and it's raining.

'Drip drop, Drip drop'

Laying here listening to the repeating sound,
such a soothing sound.

'Drip drop, Drip drop'

It's like a lullaby to my ears,
as i slowly drift off to the other world of dreams.

'Drip drop, Drip drop'

I lay here on my bed by the window.
Eyes opening, window open, and the rain is gone.

'Drip drop, Drip drop'

Looking out the window I can still see the remains of the rain.
Looking up to the now clear sky, a smile comes to my face,
as I know the start of a new day begins.
