Of Stars and Bones

My fishbowl skull
Brain swimming around within
Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him well
Just had to take a look beneath the skin
I'll fall through the back of my head
Like a shooting star through the dark
Trusting nothing to catch me
And not caring if it does

I know that I don't know
But I'm running low on replies
I'm watching the streetlight on the corner spark in the rain
But that won't bring you any closer to home

Because waking up in a world without you
Means waking up to a world that's a little less bright
And a little more hopeless
And so much more empty
And I don't think I could go through a day in that world
Because
Now that I've found you
I don't think I can go back to a life without you
Know that even though you might not feel me
I'm holding you still

Sensation completely cannot be trusted
Not when everyone is over-lusted
So even though you're thousands of light years gone
A single timely whisper will be my rosy dawn

Sing to the sky
Staring up at stars so bright to burn eyes
Sing though your tongue
Is so dry no oasis of water or miracles can quench thirst.
Keep on singing
Because we both know the hate's just a lie.
