That First Kiss

I see you and its like that first kiss happening all over again. I get tingles from head to toe and my stomach ties in knots. Your eyes say its not over yet your lips are speaking of something else. Pain of confusion and regret runs steadily throughout my body. To forget what once was would be a shame, yet life would be much simpler. Your smile brings tears to my eyes, a vivid memory plays in my mind and a saddened joy burns in my heart. Needed I was, and belong I did. My heart be came light, your arms holding me in place, so not to leave this sanctuary. Happiness ended in a mournful heart beat. The warmth was gone and lights dimmed to a harsh fate. With all the Love drained from every fiber of my being and our souls longing for one last connection, I sit watching you, just remembering that first kiss and all that you meant to me…the WORLD and so much more.
