The Hill

Walking,
Up the Hill tonight,
And you have closed your eyes,
You know,
You didn't have to make all those mistakes,
For myself.

I'm peeking through the leaves of blue,
And I see you dancing still.
Swallowed,
By the moon tonight,
Dancing to a sweet melody.

You swing together,
laughing happily,
unknowing of impending doom.

Dancing,
In circles,
And three makes three.

You walk to a radio,
Click a button and turn away.
The radio,
Is half buried,
Broken and lost, alone.

He comes,
As I close my eyes,
You speak to him.
And then he screams,
He hits your brother,
He falls away.

His hands,
They close,
around your neck,
Your sister puzzled and scared.

You fall away,
Just like your brother,
Eyes are closing as she screams.

And so,
You are dancing,
Here with me,
In this meadow,
Being free.
