Then and Now
I caught you staring from afar and wondered
Whenever you glanced at me I watched and saw
I stared back while asking myself, I pondered
Then there was a name that I began to draw
I wondered if you thought of me beautiful
I wondered if you thought of me as unique
I imagined us together, wonderful
Everything about you was just so mystique
Then everything just seemed to fall into place
My assumptions about you were proven right
Now all I see is a picture of your face
There is no matter in the day or in night
As of now I believe I found the right man
Don’t prove me wrong, make me a happy woman
Whenever you glanced at me I watched and saw
I stared back while asking myself, I pondered
Then there was a name that I began to draw
I wondered if you thought of me beautiful
I wondered if you thought of me as unique
I imagined us together, wonderful
Everything about you was just so mystique
Then everything just seemed to fall into place
My assumptions about you were proven right
Now all I see is a picture of your face
There is no matter in the day or in night
As of now I believe I found the right man
Don’t prove me wrong, make me a happy woman
