Fantasies

Everyday you dream of something
You dream of fluffy white clouds in deep blue skies,
You dream of snow-capped mountains and fairy-tale lands,
You dream of seeing the world as an eagle flies
You dream of your gentle, caring lovers touch
Of freedom, love and happiness
Nothing much.
Crash.
Your dreams are shattered,
In the trash,
As the dull cycle of life continues,
And that alarm clock rings again,
You have only time to muse
Of things better, things quiet
To save you from the misery
Of the endless, dull riot
That is life.
