A Prayer to My Maker Tonight

I rocked back and forth
I trembled in fear
I held myself closer
Fear of falling apart.

The black clouds enveloped around me
Closing in on me
I felt claustrophobic in this darken world
Unable to run away.

My heart pounded in my ears
As fear inched closer
Gnawing my conscience slowly
My breathing grew heavier.

I cried out for help
Yet no one heard me
I punched the emptiness around me
But the black clouds remained near me.

So, I lay on the floor quietly
Hugging myself tighter
I shut my eyes for a prayer
A silent call to my maker.
