Choking Loyalists.

Soft lips, feathery skin
All illuminated by the lights that slowly dim
Through the hospital window all you hear
Are the sound of cars rushing by; drivers without a fear

Not a single hope, a prayer or tear
For the so many who lay in the hospital they pass
Dear, sick, beloved
Your time is now but it’s come much too fast

For the ones at your bedside
Dripping fatigue and tears, yet there they stay
Night after night, day after day
Comforting you and your young bride

A tragic tale lies within these hospital walls
And from the ceiling tears fall
A take of misery tragedy and heartache
From the hearts, about to break

Yours will be one of those tonight
Yours and your bride’s
A tragic departure will end your flight
You, your bride’s, and the ones at your bedsides

A broken bride
A fallen groom
What of the ones at your bedside?
They’ll collapse beautifully in the other room

While you and your broken bride
Share you last whispers and sad moments
The “loyal” entourage from your bedside
Their glasses tonight, they will raise high

For the tragic tale is over!
They shout in drunken slurs
But when they all fall sober
They will choke upon their words

For the broken bride
And the fallen groom
Will come together beneath the full moon
To cast revenge upon those “loyal” bedside

Liars, who will fall beneath them
The tragic tales are dead
And there they will lie, regretting their sin
Wishing those words, they had never said.

The fallen groom and the broken bride
Shall live on for eternity
Forever, as they should be
Casting a tranquil spell of love, over you and me.

So take this as a message
And please, believe it well
That true love never dies
And liars, they will never live to tell
