My Last Words
"One more swig," I thought.
I was going to win this contest.
I took the last shot glass filled with cold medicine,
"bottoms up."
As soon as I swallowed,
I felt dizzy.
I couldn't stand.
The room started getting fuzzy,
and I couldn't make anyone's face out.
Pretty soon I couldn't see at all.
I could hear people gasping and shouting.
I heard someone yell, "Call 911!"
I felt someone stroke my hair
and hold my hand.
Before I died,
my last words were
"No need to call, I'm going to die anyway."
Then,
I blacked out.
I was officially dead.
I was going to win this contest.
I took the last shot glass filled with cold medicine,
"bottoms up."
As soon as I swallowed,
I felt dizzy.
I couldn't stand.
The room started getting fuzzy,
and I couldn't make anyone's face out.
Pretty soon I couldn't see at all.
I could hear people gasping and shouting.
I heard someone yell, "Call 911!"
I felt someone stroke my hair
and hold my hand.
Before I died,
my last words were
"No need to call, I'm going to die anyway."
Then,
