Cold, Broken, Forgotten

He showed her his heart,
In hopes of her understanding.

She locked hers away,
In fear of his betrayal.

"Your just like the rest,"
She claimed.

"Please just understand,"
He pleaded.

As they spoke, wind picked up,
Making his heart wabble in his showing hands.

Winter grow on and it started to snow,
Making her heart get cold with no heat to share.

"Please just go."

"But I want to show you.
Maybe if you just let me see,
You will be warmed, cared for.
Can't you see? I'm showing you
I'm not like them."

"No, I can't. Please go."
Her heart got colder as she went on.

The wind blew harder,
But he caught his heart.

"I love you.
Please just look."

"I can't. I won't.
I don't trust you."

It was mid winter.
Still with no warmth, her heart froze.

He was getting weak.
It was getting cold
& with no strength
His heart fell,
Shattering at the bottom.

But both their hearts
Were forgotten about,
Along with all the others.
