Solid wall

I smiled at you,

You didn’t even notice,

I try to hold your hand,

You pull away,

I’ve tried to kiss you,

You make excuses,

I wait for you’re call,

Only to wait all night without a ring,

I’m tired of this,

You act as if I don’t exist,

You’re not seeing the positive,

I try to tell you “I love you,”

But, you won’t answer,

I’ve tried to fight against the solid wall around you,

You just stay quiet and still like a statue,

When I could make you move,

I want you to feel something,

I’ll hold you’re hand,

You won’t protest,

I’m tired of your negativity,

You can’t even see the sun rise with that wall blocking everything in your path,

I miss your arms around my waist,

I want another kiss,

A goodbye kiss, maybe,

Or a final hug,

Just when I thought everything was going good,

You make us go backwards,

Without a warning,

I can tell something is wrong,

I want to break this wall,

But, you’re scared to let me in,

I let you in,

I told you my secrets,

That’s all I want in return,

So, just end it now,

I’m exhausted from even trying anymore,

I just want to say goodbye,

I don’t want to see the pain in your eyes anymore,

I touch your face one final time,

My lips pressed against yours,

I pull back, a single tear blurring my vision of you,

Finally, I see your smile,

And I know there isn’t a wall anymore.
