Remember

Remember
She fought her own war,
A losing battle.
For a while, she could hide the scars and cuts from her razorblade.
But no one notices her.
Remember those hurting inside.

She fought the Nazis peacefully.
She kept her dreams and hopes alive in times of despair and hate.
She held her head high, even in a concentration camp.
Remember Anne Frank; let the dead of the Holocaust live in us forever.

He was never good enough to play with the other guys.
But when he took some drugs, he got buffer, stronger, better.
He tried to stop, got lost in the crowd.
Remember not to leave him out.

She was starving for attention.
She wanted to be popular, to be pretty.
To be liked by everyone.
But they always called her fat, and ignored her.
Remember those with eating disorders.

He was always abused.
His parents beat and verbally abused him.
He would always run and hide when his father pulled out the belt.
Getting hit every night, crying and bleeding.
But no one notices his pain.
Remember the abused.

She just moved here a few days ago.
Everyone called her a freak, all because she was different from the rest.
She had no friends.
No one to talk to.
After awhile, she was tired of it all… She then took her own life.
Remember those who are different.
