My Eyes

I see a sky a clear day, butterflies and sparkles.
I see murky rain water sloshing over the stars.
I hear a feathered voice lightly call my name.
I hear a screech that sends me flying off the bed.
He sees a mother with open arms, cradling him so tight.
She sees a brother who is a hero in her life.
They see a crowd of ignorance.
We see a gathering of friends.
He feels like life’s begun for him.
She feels the need for an ending.
To them, he was funny.
To us he was crude.
Right or wrong?
No one knows.
We can argue all day.
We can start a fight.
I see a beautiful rainbow.
But that’s just my sight.
