Give Me a Gift.

Give me a gift,
of right judgement.
To choose the right one,
right or wrong.

So many choices in this world,
So many good and bad.
If I choose well?
If I choose what will make me weak?

I need to judge,
for myself,
and never for others.
I must know what is best for me.

Some decisions small,
As what to wear for the day.
Some rather large,
And life altering.

I can not control anyone but myself.
I only have the power over me.
No one else in the this world,
And I never will.

I strive to be better everyday.
That is my ultimate goal.
It is not my ambition to be better than my neighbor,
But to be better that the self I used to be.

When faced with a problem,
When a choice is to be made,
I stand strong,
And make it through the hard time.

Everyday decisions,
Tough life-making decisions.
Both affect me,
Both will forever change me.
