Silently Screaming

When I talk, I know they don't care
They act like they are listening, but just stare
Stare into their own worlds, ignoring me
Thinking of how they wish their lives could be

Meanwhile I'm pouring my heart out
Saying my feelings, and what I think about
How the world has changed, but they don't care
Like I said, they just stare

And when I realize that they dont' hear
I start to wish that you were near
You always listened, I could confide in you
You cared about me, and showed it too

But now that you're gone, no one sees the real me
It's like I'm invisible and silently screaming
I want you, because I know you care
And you are too polite to stare
